Pricing and Policies
Monthly tuition is the cost of 46 lessons per year divided by 12 for equal monthly payments.
15 minutes ($23 per lesson x 46 weeks) / 12 = $88 per month
30 minutes ($45 per lesson x 46 weeks) / 12 = $173 per month
45 minutes ($68 per lesson x 46 weeks) / 12 = $260 per month
60 minutes ($90 per lesson x 46 weeks) / 12 = $345 per month
Tuition is the cost of 46 lessons per year divided by 12 for equal monthly payments. Please download our studio schedule and note the 6 weeks off : Holiday Break (last week of December, first week of January), Spring Break (last week of March), Summer Break (last week of June, first week of July), and Thanksgiving Break (week of Thanksgiving).
1. Lessons. Ms. Mariah’s Music provides in-person or online piano lessons during the 46 weeks designated on the studio calendar. Students may schedule weekly lessons in advance and select the frequency and duration of their sessions based on availability.
2. Missed Lessons, Make-Up Policy, and Cancellation of Ongoing Lessons. Student understands that reserved lesson times are held exclusively for the student’s use. Cancellation or “no-show” of a scheduled lesson will not be refunded or credited for any reason. Tuition reserves the student’s lesson day and time. Make-up lessons may be given based on the availability of the teacher but are not guaranteed. This is not a yearly contract, and students may cancel at any time if notice is given before the 1st of the month. Unused tuition will not be refunded.
Make Up Days: Ms. Mariah will periodically make herself available for a Make Up Day. If you miss a lesson for any reason, you can sign up for one of her Make-Up Days! The schedule is posted in the studio and a sign-up link will be provided in the monthly newsletter.
She also hosts free Piano Pizza Parties once per month, which count as a make-up lesson!
3. Tuition and Payments

B. Due Date and Payment Method. Student will receive an invoice before the start of each month. Payment is due in full by the 1st of each month. Payments shall be made to Ms. Mariah’s Music via check, Venmo (@msmariahsmusic), Paypal (mariah@msmariahsmusic.com), ApplePay, or Zelle. Lessons will not be scheduled if tuition has not been paid. A $25 late fee may be added after the 5th of the month.
4. Media Release. Student or Parent/Guardian gives permission for Ms. Mariah’s Music to use images and videos of student for business purposes, including social media, and waives any rights of compensation or ownership.

· Continuing education and memberships: in order for me to be the best teacher possible, I make it a priority to stay current with the latest educational trends, methodologies, and developments. This may include seminars, podcasts, and fees for associations such as the Michigan Music Teachers Association and the National Association for Music Educators (NAfME).
· Administration and accounting
· Taxes and business insurance
· Please keep in mind that as a small business owner, I do not receive maternity leave, sick leave, employer-matched 401k, etc. My prices are reflective of my experience, talent, and education, and are subject to change with 30 days written notice. I will always do my best to make up missed lessons, but make-up lessons are not guaranteed; my teaching schedule is usually full. Thank you for your understanding!
